B.A. in Finance, Georgia State University (1997)
MBA in Entrepreneurship, Georgia State University (2002)
Tamara is one of the founding members of The HBCU Network. She is a third-generation HBCU graduate,
with several family members having attended Florida A&M University (FAMU), Spelman College, Allen University,
and Morehouse College.
Tamara has been an active member of her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, for over 9 years.
She was also a performing member in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games, as
well as the 1994 Super Bowl Opening Cermonies - singing backup for Natalie Cole along
with the rest of the Spelman and Morehouse Glee Clubs.
"The HBCU Network has given me the opportunity to reach so many people and form relationships that
otherwise would not have happened. We've been able to not only help establish and reestablish
personal relationships, but we've also facilitated several business relationships - allowing
those entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level."
"My personal quote, 'The Power To Empower' is my belief in what we can achieve through The HBCU Network."

Bolaji
Oyejide (co-founder) - Vice President of Marketing
B.Sc. with Honors, Computer Science, Morehouse College (1997)
MBA in Marketing, Emory University (2003)
Bolaji is one of the founding members of The HBCU Network. Noted for his strategic insight and creative
vision, he has held positions with such marketing giants as Procter & Gamble, and driven marketing
strategy and tactics for IBM. He also has an MBA in marketing from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

"The time I spent at Morehouse was second to none. Leaving that and moving to the mid-west was
like leaving family behind." Via The HBCU Network, I've been able to meet some incredbly driven
and accomplished young people. We motivate each other to strive beyond what we ever thought we could
attain. I've also been able to track down that brother from my freshman dorm that owed me $10..."
"We stand on the shoulders of giants that came before us, and are obligated to shine, that we may light
the way for generations to come." That is my personal quote, and that is why I do this."

Shannon
Bynes- Director, Business Development
B.Sc. in Computer Science, University of South Florida (1999)
MBA in Management, University of Florida (Class of 2006)
Although Shannon is not an HBCU alum herself, she has strong ties to the HBCU community. Her parents
met and fell in love on the campus of Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) and her sister
graduated from Florida A&M University. Through her university recruiting and relations role
at the IBM Corporation, Shannon spends significant time in Nashville, TN on the campus of
Tennessee State University and loves every minute of it!
"There is obviously no experience like the HBCU experience. Every single year, a significant
number of future influential community leaders, entrepreneurs, and corporate professionals
graduate from HBCUs across the nation. The HBCU Network is all about providing opportunities
for these graduates to connect, re-connect, and establish fruitful personal and business
relationships. I absolutely love being a part of this...It's been a blast so far but
I'm most excited about what lies ahead for the HBCU Network Family!"
