Thank you for clearing that up. I can see his camp not wanting the bad PR but I also like the fact that you all clarified that it is up to women in the video as well as the industry to clean this up. I understand that younger children do stay up late but the fact that they're looking at this type of material at that time is a parental control issue as well. It goes back to the argument about rap music in general. I think that censorship in any degree would not be an issue if parental control was in place. Now granted, there will always be children that sneak, look, and listen to whatever but are people now holding these industries accountable for rearing children? The last time I checked, money had no morals and as long as the "powers that be" have the financial influence on artists then it will not change or an artists money won't be the same. I think that the ladies of Spelman have an excellent point and cause but in the same token I don't put as much blame on the industry as individuals and individual families. I think the information and point of view of the ladies should be taken to the masses because honestly if the video was not so popular among the public we wouldn't be having this discussion. If there were no women that put themselves in the video's then it would be instant change but honestly, they know that as fast as some females say no that is too much for me, another one is there to quickly replace her. Again, all I'm saying is take the argument to the proper place because as long as the industry is driven by money no significant change will come about. We have to look at the ways that mass influence on people have made changes....just look at how one man, made people believe that Ludacris was a "gangsta" and made a multi billion dollar company dismiss him. Take the argument to the masses!!!
