First and foremost, I have to give the ultimate shout out to my cabinmate and bestfriend for 10 years....Lauren Horton!! You my girl always! We did it WAY biggggggggg......Carnival and the HBCU Network didn't know what hit them when Kentucky's Finest stepped onto the boat! The true Thoroughbreds came strong and correct.....showing everyone how Murray State University gets down! "Steeltoes..Pumps.....WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THOSE GIRLS COULD GET CRUNK!!!"
OK, now on to others that are special and will forever hold a place in my special memories:
1. Nicole, Tamara ("...like a camara") and Bolaji...I can not express my true graditude and appreciation for being sooooo down to earth and dedicated to hard work. You guys and supporting HBCU Network staff held down an awesome event and can count on me for being present at 2006's cruise.......hell, even sign me up as a helper!!! I have ultimate respect for each and everyone of you guys and would take much pride in working with you all in the future!
2. Ancel...thanks for speaking the "truth" and holding down that LATE spades game....
3. .....and speaking of spades.......Floyd and Travis.....I love you guys and thanks for putting up a good round......EVEN THOUGH YOU ALL CHEATED! OK..OK...did I forget to say I'm a sore loser..;) (travis......."I'm Mike Jonessssss!!!")
4. Thank you thank you Thank you Thank you to Shanita and Deserae for teaching me those tight line dances.....you go girls!
5. Teria.......I hate to say, even though Lauren and I rocked it for 80/90's night, BUT YOU WON THAT COSTUME CONTEST!!! LA Gear lives forever!!!
6. D-Starr...you are sooo cute and talented......not to mention funny as hell too......"I'M BALLINNNNNNNN!!!"
7. Jason...thanks for showing so much love and team spirit.....you have such a good heart!
8. Kenny C.....thanks for that late night convo...wink wink.....and boy, stay away from that bar....dang!
9. Tyrone.......what can I say??? You are the epitomy of OFF THE HOOK!!! You brought me to tears laughing so hard!! Promise me you'll be on 2006's cruise.....
10. Ronnie...and Eric....thanks for being so cool and hold down such wonderful personalities!!! Skee-Phi!!!!
11. Jeremy.....thanks for embedding 'yay' forever in my mind......also, thanks for my rose in Key West......how thoughtful!!! "Yayyyyyyyy!!!"
12. Gale....thanks for holding down our dinner table and being such a nice person!
13. Thanks to that wonderful Mexican in Cozumel for finding me that HUGE $3 WATER!!!!!!!! Seriously, I would not be sane without that pick-me-up!!! Black people and humid heat does not mix!
14. Rod, congrats on the new job!! You are the key to our future!
15. Well, well, well.........last but not least, good 'ol Larry Harper II and William Scott (ohhhhhhh!).......thanks for being such great sports (spoons anyone???) and for being soooooooo outgoing "yay!!!".......Remember, laughing doesn't hurt anyone........so on that note........G A S O L I N A !!!!!!!!!
So again, hope to see everyone in 2006!!!!!!! Bet on seeing Kentucky's Thoroughbreds front and center!!!!!
ps..thanks to AFAR's drummer and girlfriend, and my two new friends from Denver for holding down GREAT laughs while waiting that that horrible 2hour Carnival line!!!
