I agree completely with the Kaneatra. I was born & raised in Nashville. It would be a good place to attend grad school. Small town appeal. A pretty decent minority population. It has changed a bit since I last lived there, but for the better. Of course there is traffic, crime and everything else that affects standard of living in metro areas-but it would be a cool place to live for the time that you need to be there.
