Hey Sweetheart,
I want to say, getting into UC Davis is a great accomplishment especially in the California system.
Having been through undergraduate and now currently a graduate student I want to share a few things with you. Those rankings are all good 45-UCDavis and 90-Howard, but if you excel with good grades at both institutions you won't be ignored. In going to a smaller college there are a few more things you can do to stand out and taking internships in biology would help greatly. Having said that, I had the same decision to make coming out of highschool.... NC state, UNC chapel hill or NC A&T state university. Once I stepped foot on A&T's campus there was no doubt where I was going. The atmosphere, culture, the lasting friendships and networks are unexplainable. Sometimes when you grow up in society you miss what makes us who we are as a people and become extremely proud to be black. I left A&T with a strong sense of love for myself as a black man in American and stronger respect for black women. If you want to just get a great education go to Davis, if you want a great education and overall great time, i'd suggest Howard. To be honest where ever you go, i'm sure you can achieve your going so your starting point isn't so important. Just perform in the classroom and you'll be fine.
