: : Howard or Hampton??? I definitely agree with Yolanda. Most HBCU's are in the hood. But with Howard being in DC, there is so much to do. You can chill in DC, Maryland or parts Virginia. Also, it only a 3 hour ride to New York or Philadelphia. Hampton is nice but it is in the country and you would definitely need a vehicle to go places. In DC, you can hop on the Metro and go everywhere you need. Also, Howard is considered the MECCA of all HBCU"S Just about all of the fraternities and sororities were founded on that campus. I am impartial as well being a Howard Alumnus.
