I heard it was in the booneys or far out in the country and it was like a gated in estate, therefore there were no opportunities in the environment for me to develope as a dancer or nurse in the actual setting or places to kick it. (Howard has thier own hospital). Even though I am a skinny dancer, I LOVE to eat, and I heard that hamptons eating halls were under health inspection and people with meal plans were just out of luck. That was a few years ago but...umm..no... and then curfew at hampton, I don't have a curfew now..but i geuss it to help students focus. These are not all the main reasons I didnt pick hampton, just a few. In you alls comments it seemed like people from Howard had more school spirit, were more outgoing, diverse, down to earth, more real and supportive, whether they graduated from class of 87', 92' or 04'. These are the type of people I want to be around and that relate to me most. I think that I will enjoy being in D.C.
p.s. I have had dreads for four years (all high school) and I look forward to cutting them off when I get down there, fresh start!
Much Love,
Latonia
